And, as per the norm with this car, the new water pump had the wrong end on it, so might as well change the weeping front crank seal. The crank pulley bolt was tighter than a tight thing, so out with the big boy breaker bar!

But nothing is ever easy is it! the pulley doesn't clear the front cross member :( Lucky it has all those pulleys though, considering it only needs to drive one belt for the alternator and water pump!

Undid the engine mounts, and jacked the engine up enough to clear the front cross member. At least I didn't need to use pullers on the pulley!

So, now I need to return the wrong water pump and get the right one, and a crank seal.
