Hi all,
I have a SIII, with:
Solex carby, so no inlet pipe for PCV connection as per Zenith arrangement as no adapter plate used
Pipe section to carby with no small outlet tapping to go to rover cover cap
Plain rover cover breather cap with no inlet pipe
Oil filler with sealed type cap, and hose connection for PCV plugged off
To my way of thinking I have no clear path for blow-by gas to go, maybe it eventually finds its way up to the rocker cover, or leaks from the crankshaft seals, likely pressurising crankcase. I wish to reinstate PCV arrangement, primarily to get crankcase under vacuum to discourage oil leaks
So I was thinking to connect a hose from the oil inlet via an inline PCV valve to the tapped port in the front part of the inlet manifold via a banjo fitting. Something like...

Then thinking to do nothing with the rocker breather, as presently it's not intended to be used in very dusty conditions.
What do you think?
Does it matter that these gasses probably only feed 2 cylinders?
Anyone know what thread is that port?
Maybe it would be better to feed it into the underside of the air cleaner somehow.
