Shame I already have too many projects or I'd be in contact ! Mind you, it's only SWMBO that told me I have too many projects I'm not sure I believe her.

Good to see that the lower PTO bolt was attached to something although that isn't the original towing bracket I was thinking of.

Strange thing just happened, Mrs GB just inspected new 'pile of junk' and declared it has her name on it. Thats a first, might have to fix it up and go on club rego. Now I suppose I'll need to work out a kayak carrier for it .

    Best of luck with it.
I hear the diesel isn't that fast off the blocks, hopefully the smoking is just rings or valve guides.

Thanks, I think, ... the farmer told me 70 or 80kmh on the highway .

Speedo shows 64,000 km . Going by the tightness of everything im thinking it has not been around the clock. The Engine is probably gummed up , I'll get a Unreg permit & put some snake oil through it & give it a good run .

I owned one of these 1966-69. Definitely no ball of fire, but very economical - on one run south from Finke to PA measured 36mpg, more usually, round 30. Comfortable around 50mph on the highway, unbeatable off road.
