Hi All
To get a Roadworthy for my 1972 SIII Station Wagon I need to fit seatbelts. I was wondering if any one knows of fitters in Melbourne. This is something I think I'd like to get a professional to do. So far I've found them in WA and SA but nothing in Melbourne.
Cheers

If you've benefited from one or more of my posts please remember, your taxes paid for my skill sets, I'm just trying to make sure you get your monies worth.
If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
I am in Brisbane but I see there a mob called Seat Belt King in Melbourne who supply & fit seat belts APVS web site says to contact Vic Roads for a list of fitting stations.
Blknight.aus I thought they had to be authorised fitters in Victoria.
1950landy I’ve sent a message to Seatbelt King. Based on their website they don’t say anything about fitting but they do supply seatbelts. I’m going to give VicRoads a call today and see if they can supply me with a list.
You could also give RACV a call & ask them were you could have them fitted.
I hadn't thought of the RACV I'll give them a call as well.
If your using original mounts and associated hardware and belts it should meet roadworthy requirements.
Ive used Vehicle Conversions, Custom Fit-out Services | Jamieson Auto Fit in the past and would be worth talking to about your situation.
Hi Alien
Unfortunately my SIII was originally registered in SA or WA where at the time they didn't have to have Seatbelts so there is no mount points. All the belts would have to be retrofitted. I'm also think they may have to be compliance plated as well.
Cheers
Steve
I doubt if they would have to be compliance plated if using the original hardware that would have been fitted to the same vehicle if first registered in Victoria. But I would not be surprised if some bureaucrat thought it was necessary!

Just a quick update.
Vicroads and RACV although helpful were unable to give me any businesses that install Seatbelts. I had a better look at the SIII and there are mounts for the Front Row. All I need now is to get the center row and rear seatbelts fitted.
I'm going to try a couple of local Mechanics and see what they say.
Cheers
Steve
