The biggest problem you will have with most of the replacement fuel pumps is too much pressure. Old fuel pumps were much lower pressure often in the 2-3 PSI.
There were available then fuel pressure regulators , but i havent seen any of these around for a while.
Also Facet electric fuel pumps had low pressure models but all pumps i have seen lately are 5 psi plus andd these are likely to cause carby flooding at lower speeds and very poor economy.
I would rebuild the original pump if you can as the specifications are correct for the carby.
