    Front right/left door window glass

Hi. I was wondering whether series 1 Front right/left door window glass can be used on series 3.

    TIA

    No they can't.

I have spare panes of glass here but they are all scratched so probably won't pass a roady, unless you take it in minus door tops .
I've used the best ones myself.

Thanks Colin. I was thinking to get one cut. I will take the existing one for sample. I guess any window/glass shop can do it?

Someone on here some years back mentioned getting a windscreen cut from laminated glass.
Problem is that they need to apply the automotive mark otherwise it won't pass a roadworthy so you need to find out if they can/will do this.

From memory the edges need to be ground smooth so that cracks can't propagate from a rough edge.

Probably cheaper than getting it cut to size.

Paddocks is $13 for the sliding and $16 for the fixed so if you were ordering a lot of parts from the UK that might be an alternative although freight will be more expensive at present.
