Was it exported to NZ new? If so, it is possible that it was finished to NZ spec not Au. I suspect the wiring is there, and probably just needs the switch and panel.Quote:

Hello, My '71 S3 station wagon, probably a UK import, has hazard flashers, mounted on the central panel, it's the triangle on the red pull-knob on the central pedestal. It didn't work, so I fiddled behind the panel until it worked. It worked, once, about 4 years ago, then there was a soft fizz and a gentle aroma of hot insulation and it declined to work ever again.
I got a replacement by searching on ebay for NEW TRIUMPH STAG 2000 2500 DOLOMITE LUCAS HAZARD FLASHER SWITCH and getting one from the UK. But, I've never been able to work out the wiring or find a diagram. I've added some pics of the connector plug connected to the switch, and if you find its mate somewhere to the left of the dash, it's probably wired up to accept a hazard flasher switch. The plug in the vehicle is the same as the one on the switch, however male connects to female and vice versa.
On the switch side, the male connectors from left to right go
green
green/yellow
green brown
the female connectors from left to to right go
green/red
green/white
black
The black wire goes to the centre of the switch and probably illuminates the small globe in the centre of the red knob to make it flash when when the hazards are on,
However, if anyone can help me to work out which cable is meant to do what, I might be able to make my hazard flashers work again! I think one cable, probably the power supply, isn't working.
Any help, advice or a wiring diagram would be really appreciated!

There is no mention of hazard switch or an associated wiring in the owners manual for vehicles up to 78. Though the disclaimer says this handbook applies to a range of vehicles and not to a particle vehicle, owners should consult with their dealer..
Thanks John you could be right, there might be wiring there, the switch is missing, there is a hole there in between the other two switches so it has been there at some point. No, I imported it to NZ when I came home from Aus. No Isuzu counties were sold new in NZ to my knowledge.Quote:
