    Fuel Gauge problem fixed.

    Hi.
Had ongoing issues with my fuel gauge over the last couple of weeks, 750mm of rain in a month may not of helped things. Slow to move up the gauge, rising on cornering, Taking several klms to show correct level.
When I rebuilt my 'Landy' Gilbert, S3 SWB soft top a few years Ago, the Earth to the fuel sender seem to be via the fuel tank to chassis frame. Once I had repaired my 10gal Tank, I added 6, 10mm spacers from old plastic chopping board, Sikaflexed in place, between tank and fixing bracket. Now dirt can be hosed out eliminating old rusting issues. Not sure how the sender was getting an Earth, But had worked ok.
On getting home today after filling tank, and gauge reading half, decided to look into the issue. Adding wire from fuel sender screw to seat box bolt, had the gauge rising to full quicker than ever before. So I made up a Earth wire, with an Eye lug soldered on each end and fitted. Problem solved.
