I suppose you don't know until you find out if there's been a change? I found one that's for download and found it quite similar to the diagrams 1950 put up. I found the drive flange nut in another section in my manual, just couldn't find a picture that looked like that in complete sequence. My manual doesn't even have all the correct parts in it lol

This is Land Rover we're talking about. Changes sometimes happened due to some parts not being available so old stock was used. Your car was built here in Oz but my seemingly identical one was built in Solihull. As John has pointed out, whole assemblies are interchangeable but have no parts in common.

Thanks guys, I am enjoying LR series world for the most part. The hardest part has been getting parts sent to me so far. Not finding them, just getting them in my hands lol.

My prop tool and pinion seal finally turned up! I'll let you know how it goes, hopefully the rain clears up a bit. I was going to try and tackle the speedo drive but thought I'd wait for the tool and do them both. I also got my tint, panel switch and a few things, most of a bailey channel kit. Fun times!

Pulled the prop shaft off the output drive flange was loose enough to hand turn! Hopefully nipping it up will fix it.

Tightened that drive flange nut to 85 pounds. Speedo seems to be reading dead on now checked with the gps. Thanks a mill
