Yes,cut them through without damaging tbe chassis.
Check the UK prices....U bolts are cheap ($2-3) so are the leaf spring bolts($1-1.5)
Delivery doesn't take that long.

It all depends on how tight/rusted in they are - which largely depends on whether they had anti-seize put on them last time they were fitted! No way of telling until you try.

Having a look at them they're quite brittle but they don't look perished too much from what you can see, there are cracks in the rubber but you can't really see the chassis ones as well. I've been told it would be worth doing and I'm assuming these ones are probably original still. I definitely will be getting onto it in the next month or two.

The ride can be a bit bouncy for an undiagnosed reason at times but seems like only at low speed weirdly.

Bouncy can mean several things - too stiff for the load being carried, too much interleaf friction, or poor damping due to shock absorbers being shot, or even wrong shock absorbers, check straps too short, or simply you are not used to the ride that comes with these vehicles!

That's one thing I'm not sure of entirely the ride that comes with them haha. I've not driven the old land rovers before i owned one. I've owned and driven older cars but not 4wd. Had a Gemini and a HR way back

I've done shocks all round a few years back it has been off the road since then they should be fine hasn't done many ks the leaf look rusty on the surface but they don't seem to sag or anything and not a huge difference when you take the load off them from basic inspection

It's pretty much running empty as a hardtop. I don't usually have much in it
