    Wow !
A 4-cylinder repair kit and access to a lathe is a much cheaper option.

Water pump repair kit - 8/9 stud - Paddock Spares

Reco here when they are available

Someone I know has a Rover car with a 2.6 litre motor fitted. They had their local radiator repair place reco the water pump for about $400.

I agree it’s pricey but if you don’t have access to a lathe or an old impeller to copy it might be the answer, also it’s the first one I have seen advertised and thought it may be of use to someone on the forum.

Are there lots of 2.6l series IIi’s out there? I am 6+ years into a frame off of a1981 Series III 109 with the 2.6l. I’ve rebuilt the entire engine. Got very fortunate that the crank and block were spec’d and were perfect

More here probably than anywhere else in the World as all the Series III Army Land Rovers were 6-cylinder.

    Water Pump 2.6

Hi I am currently doing an order from Craddocks and enquired about the kit, they dont have any, with no ETA. They do have the seals for only a couple of dollars so i took a punt and included them. I was hoping to source a bearing locally once i take it apart, not sure if thats going to work or if anyone has done so before?
    Cheers, Graeme

The standard 2.25 water pump kit fits with minor modification to the impeller. I haven't tried to source a bearing locally but I have a spare kit 'in stock' to provide a sample.
The impeller on mine broke when trying to press the shaft out so handy to have a new impeller to hand.

6 cylinder water pump recon with 4 cyl rebuild kit
