    Series 3 front recovery points

Hi all, I am looking for suitable rated recovery point ideas for the front of my Landy. It has original bumper but I don’t think it is strong enough.

    is that bumper original?

I would't use it as recovery point. Recovery points should be rated.

there is a recovery thread here on Aulro , and if you join your local Land Rover club I'm sure it would run recovery training.

Sometimes wonder how I've survived without rated points for the last 50 years!

When I was an active member in LROCV 30 years ago and used to regularly run Hard trips , a "front towing pintle " was often listed under 'equipment required" . Typically they were bolted to original front bumpers , They were not used for snatching so much as solid bar towing.

Yes not that long ago there was no such thing as a rated recovery point.

Bull bars just came with them & you could get inserts for your towbars.

Some brands of bull bars come with them now and other don't the ones that don't. value add by charging a fair bit for a recovery points
    Cheers
