Series 3 Auxiliary fuel tank
Hi, Putting a series 1 auxiliary tank under the passenger seat. I have taken the seats and mounts out. Drilled the rivets out. Should I need to take the whole seat box out? I wouldn’t have thought so but something still holding everything together???

Hello from Brisbane.
There are quite a lot of rivets holding the LHS tool box on to the seat box - so, it’s possible that you haven’t got them all out yet. Probably a case a twisting it a bit to determine where it’s still sticking.
It is possible to fit an extra tank without removing the seat box entirely but it does make the installation a bit easier. Depending on the size of the new tank you may have to add another outrigger for the front mounting points and that might be easier to do without the box in place.
Cheers,
Neil
