thats looking to be in about the right location to let you get a pair of 30 degree needle nose pliers in to postition the pushrod into the clutch fork on a SIII bell housing.
It will cause issues with water ingress if you go deep enough, you should be able to get a lining grommet to fit as well as a rubber expanding plug or you could make one out of a couple of washers, a couple of chunks of rubber matting and a nut bolt and spring washer.
