I might be wrong but i'm pretty sure i saw this truck in the CarsGuide section of the Sunday paper a while back. From memory the owner previous to Simon bought it off an old bloke for $600. The old bloke cried as he drove it away.
Both of the previous owers before the recent seller are well known Landy enthusiasts. They would know exactly what it was worth and I would be incredibly surprised if they let it go unwillingly for $600... ;)
Well guys collected my new friend last Thursday. Very happy with the vehicle, it is superb condition.
Just getting to know the ins and outs. Will keep you posted.
was driven in it by chris, can tell you while filming in side cabin ,not a hot rod .think doing 80 kms on speedo tacho was showing around 4,000 revs.but otherwise (love the thick padded seats)goes nicely along.
Glad to hear Simon!
Yes - it truely is a magnificent vehicle! :D
Edited: It is indeed a petrol...
looked like 4,000 rpm and sounded like it too (we had x2 series 3s petrol 2.25 and 202 n diesel 2.25 ,brings back memories when was driven in it /but was looking on a angle while filming , next time i look at dvd ,will have better look .but 100% doing 80 km .chris doesent speed in it even if 100km speed limit we were siting on 80 km .i know how much he payed for it but he did tidy it up and as i seen it ,looks like came out of factory unmarked and also when ever when to lroc shows always got looks and stares with it before any other 99% of the time ,cheers .ps hows the tray holding shonks., just finished khanafari dvd ,looked impresive.
