Mud tyres for series 3

as per pheonix's post I have the xtra grip hi milers on fozzy.

they did a great job on my wagga trip and I was putting some modern 4x4's with lesser rubber to shame on some greasy stuff on the way back.

you can just see whats left of the virgin nipples on the outside edge of the tread face

this pic is from the trip back from wagga, you can see how the plough has hung me up a little lowering of the front tyre pressures an a rock in front of the right hand wheel (which was just not quite touching the ground enough) was enough to get me mobile again.

good tyres if you can stand the noise.

i'd suspect that both the deestone and goodyear tyres are copies of the old Firestone SAT

I've bought these tyres over the years for my SIII, now on the Defender. I've always known them as "Custom Xtra Grips". This set is made by Rhoden, but I've bought Olympic, and other branded ones in the past. I think every manufacturer has had their logo on it. They throw mud out well and are pretty cheap (should be under $200ea).

Good climbers too, and 7.50x16.
