Got a fair bit of work done today, I:

-Cleaned, sanded and primed the radiator of the 'new' Landy in our family
-Cleaned, sanded/rust-treated battery hold-down clamp of the 'new' Landy
-Cleaned, sanded, primed air-cleaner of 'new' Landy
-Cleaned, sanded, primed hubs to be fitted to the rear of 'Mr Mockagie'

    Topcoats (gloss black) tomorrow.

    Dad:
-Made lots of progress on Mr Mockagie's mudgurads, which included spraying the primer on. Topcoat tomorrow.
-Cleaned the mess up that I made. . . .

Not a lot done this weekend. Got the Stage 1 home and, so far:

    New coil lead
    Put rubber sheet under battery
    Install new battery
    Install battery clamps and brackets
Re-install master cut off switch for battery (I had removed it)
Fix front park light and checked all external lights again (all lamp covers and bulbs had been checked and replaced where necessary a week ago. Front right park light had a broken earth wire and the wires leading to the lights in that guard were stretched too tight.)
    Fit Steering Wheel cover
Install rear work light (wiring was already in place but not connected to anything either end)
    Replace ignition switch

Swapped out the starter motor in my 2a with one from a doner s3. It now seems better than ever. The joy of not crank starting!

    seats gone, what's next?

I have been busy on and off dismantling a 2A imported model SW over the last couple of weeks.
Pulled the middle and rear seat out and sold them today to a chap who had advertised for them on Gumtree.
He was delighted with them even though they all needed recovering.

I took him on a guided tour of the bits of Land rovers in my backyard.
Like a kid in a lolly shop he soon spotted some more bits that he wanted and now has added a few more items to his wish list.
I do like it when I can help out fellow enthusiast.

Changed the fuel filter on the D2a Td5 and drilled new 12mm holes in the roller fair lead to fit the ironman 9500 onto the ARB bar. It was a lovely day in Hobart.
