Had a full set of 5 1/2 inch rims sandblasted, spent the afternoon in the shed spray painting them Limestone with 4 layers of clear top coat. They look great
Now trying to find some new 7.50 16 tyres that look original.
    Difficult to find?

I removed the rear output flange from a spare transfer box, cleaned up the threads on the prop shaft bolts, ran a tap through the nuts and delivered to a mate Iain for his S1 88"!

On my own SIII, earlier in the week I cut a hole in the blackout panel and fitted a Hella hazard lamp switch. While not original or military* I believe it's a safety improvement for our all too hazardous roads.

    * the same switch is fitted to the UK MoD SIII lightweights.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Installed windscreen washer. Doesn't look too bad and it works...

Washer nozzles are off a Defender (imagines Canberra Deefer owners wandering out to check they still have theirs) and the pump and reservoir came from a national cheap place - so it's hardly surprising the pump leaks...

Little button on dash above ignition activates it.

    Hector's replacement mudguards

    G'day all,
On Thursday, we picked up our replacement mudguards, however, the gale-force winds on Friday kept us from starting work on them till today (Saturday). They cerainly need alot of hard work done to them. . . .

Firstly, I blasted off years of caked-on dirt with the pressure cleaner (using detergent). I then had to scrub the inside of the guards with steel-wool and sandpaper to remove the remaining corrosion and old paint (this took dad & I most of the day).

Tomorrow, I'll finish sanding them inside and out. There's dents to straighten, rusty bolts to replace etc.

    Cheers,
    Harry jnr

Replaced Mary's valve stem seals after I put the incorrect ones in (should have been the o ring type) a very delicate operation to complete without taking the head off! glads that job's over!

New rear diff sump plug (the old one was round - stilson wrench couldn't get a grip - it became a hammer and chisel effort)
New rear diff pinion oil seal
New universals fitted to rear drive shaft

Fitted new door seals, painted the floor panels and foot wells. She's a lot quieter to drive with the floor back in
