My IIa's windscreens were cut by a local glazier. I don't know the price as they were a birthday present.

I have to replace the windscreen glass in a few Land Rovers (SII & SIII) and was wondering the typical cost and also where is the best place to source.
I know some companies will cut flat glass to size for trucks etc., in fact there is a windscreen company in Hallam I need to chase for a price.
I'm seriously thinking about a windscreen frame with new glass fitted that I can switch between vehicles for the roadworthy.....
Any input welcome.

There's a mob in Wetherill Park than manufacture bespoke glass for machinery (down the end of Davis Rd) They will make to suit from sample or frame.
I just had a set cut for my land rover and for my Champ, Century glass in Ringwood did it. $240 for the two
Cheers Simon
Do you know if you can get laminated windscreen glass to suit a Series Land Rover?
Regards Warrick.
Windscreens Obrien will cut screens from flat automotive grade laminated glass and will put the required approval lable on the glass. As I understand it they usually have a single location in each capital that does the work. In Sydney AFAIK it is the depot in Minto.
BTW ex-Army Series Landies should already have laminated glass. (Unless someone has changed the screen post-service.)
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Hi All. As stated previously normal 6.5mm laminated glass can be used but will not pass a RWC. I did this first and the RWC guy picked it up. Worth a try thou as it cost all of $35 for the two pains! If you don't need a roady lam is the go as the glass is no different to automotive lam other than no edge polishing.
Cheers Simon.
PS I think I will be there on Sunday for the series day with both landy's and the family.
