    69 2A 88" pet4 (still in disguise), 68 2B FC pet6 (for sale, but resting quietly), 73 S3 109" pet4 (next project), plus 12 other parts cars.

    My Series 1 has the 'long nose' with a triple V-belt pulley driving the generator for the welder and a fan to cool it. It's difficult to see clearly in the picture below.





    The original owner made a lever that is down by the front edge of the seat to operate the PTO, saves having to remove the seat & lift the hatch to engage.

    Dad had one on his SWB SIII, god alone knows where the shorty ended up though, he sold it ~1988

    Last time I saw one was when dad dropped it off at a friends place in Newtown in Hobart ~1996

    I remember seeing something about your beast, I was impressed that It was a rolling welder it's sort of where i got the idea from.

    I'm assuming that the generator and the fan are bolted to a piece of flat made into a bracket; on the same plane as the output of the pto. What is the bracket bolted to though? Maybe the pto unit itself?

    It's a while since I had to tighten the bolts that hold the generator in place, I remember they were a PITA to get to.
    From memory it pivots on a bracket bolted to the PTO/Transfer Box, you can see a bracket bolted to the flange of the motor (with another going to the blower) this allows you to tension the belts.
    I'll see if I have some better photos.

    thanks for that Grommit! I've love to see how yours is done.

    Was poking around looking at photos and found this pic of my PTO! didn't realise i had it.


    It apears to be a Thomas T115? does that make sense to anyone out there? is that good/ bad/ indifferent? Where would I find specs on that?

    Does anyone have a dimensional drawing of the output flange for the PTO (as above)?

    I'm researching some stuff for someone else ATM and I can see if it's a common pattern, if so then adapting to it could be easier than thought. Else an adaptor plate down to a common pump/drive size could be done.
