LEDs have changed so many things haven't they.

Giving up on the turbo? It's dead and needs replacing? What's the story?

I'm hoping that LED's have changed the game

Ahhh the turbo.... I'm giving up on THAT turbo.... I've ordered a brand spanking shiny sexy new one. From what I can gather(have spoken to a couple of mechanics and 1 even had a look at it) and figure out with my ears and eyes that turbo needs some tlc... I think it's the wastegate sticking open. But I'm not confident to fool with such fast spinny things so I shall get a new one. I'm thinking I'll sell the old one cheap cheap - someone with some more knowledge will just do a rebuild on it.

You'll sell that turbo to some bugga who'll buy a 20c seal, spend half an hour in his shed and have it working perfectly

At least, that's the sort of thing that happens to me

They're tall beasts aren't they. My plan is to slowly do mine up (which is why I'm on the forum not in the shed ) but by the time I'll have her finished, I'll need a fruit box to get up into her. Seriously. I'm starting at 59 and with a ten year program being reasonable, old age and decrepitude could catch up. I'm getting back on my pushbike - the lad thinks it's for my health but it's really so I'm flexible enough to work on Wombat.

And yes, I'm about to drag on my 'dirty clothes' and go out into the shed.

Sunday is shaping up to be fun.
    I'm on my own.
Push Wombat out of the shed and down a slope in the lawn... without her getting away from me.
    High pressure clean the chassis.
Fail to get her back into the shed.
Wait till monday when the lad gets home to help push her into the shed.

This is assuming my high pressure gadget works which I'm smart enough to check first.

Of course, I could buy a six pack of dark ale, fettle my pushbike and watch cat videos all afternoon.
