    RAF Blue Paint Codes

    Hey guys,
So I'm wanting to respray my series 2a ute but im running into a problem finding the right colour code. I want to go with the RAF Blue but the code provided on AULRO the local automotive paint shop says its not a code they recognise. That colour code is RAF Blue/Grey BS-381c-63. Does anyone have an Australian version of this code or something similar? Or is this code right and i just need to go somewhere else?
    Cheers

I've found when trying to match old paint codes there is often no direct equivalent.
The pigments have changed over the years so details of modern pigments to get the correct 'old' color don't seem to exist.

If you have a sample from part of the vehicle that has been hidden from sunlight/dirt etc. you can clean this up and they will be able to match it.

Also there is a company in the UK that make up paints to the old codes (found them on the interweb) but whether you can get a small quantity shipped over for someone local to then match ?

    RAF blue grey

I had a sample made up by THE PAINT PLACE in Ipswich it was totally different to the sample from the 107
turns out there are R.A.A.F. blue grey and R.A.F.blue grey the later was very close to sample
The product was Protec 305 Equipment Enamel R.A.F. Blue Grey numbers 633 [BUT ] there could be one number before the 6 as at that point a trea drop of pain ran down the label if you get in touch with Protec Paints they can assist you
