    Rocky Mountain Parabolic Bushes

    Hi Parabolic owners,

I have chewed out my near new RM rubber bushes (as many people do).
Instead of getting poly ones imported (expensive) I'm researching getting some made in melbourne. Has anybody done this before or interested in putting in a group order?

    Cheers

I have been quoted $12/bush from Melbourne. So $24/spring or $96 for all 4 springs.

4wd industries took 5 days to get back to me to say they don't support Rocky Mountain anymore. And from the UK poly bushes are 21GBP/spring + shipping

Check the size of early Toyota FJ?60 spring bushes. They fit S1 standard springs ok with a bit of shortening.

I measured up my cousins 40 and 60 series and double checked on some forums and it seems the following is true.

Pre-1980 Toyota bushes are 25mm OD and 15mm ID

Post-1980 Toyota bushes are 35mm OD and 18mm ID

This makes them unsuitable for rocky mountain springs since they require 32mm OD and 14.5mm ID.

Anyway these guys can make poly bushes up (80-95A) with crush tubes for $12/each.

Thanks for that info. I didn't know the size of RM bushes. TI Console are the same dia as Rover.
I must have used 40 series.

Tomkah, I looked those bushes up. They are Very expensive! $65 a pair +shipping.

Anyway I have bushes now, they arrived last week and work well. I got extras so if anybody needs poly bushes for their rocky mountain parabolics, let me know
