I posted up questions about this a while back. Basically it relates to plus 35 - 35% stronger axles from memory. I think it was after Series 2, but I am sure JDNSW will be alone soon to confirm!
Hi.
Spent the night at Daughters Grade 12 formal next to Craig Marshall, Son of Barry Marshall's Garage at Burringbah.
Craig did his apprenticeship at the Garage, mainly on Land Rovers.
So we chatted Land Rovers.
Me mention a couple of 35's ???? on a banana farm, at the back of Burringbah, I should have a look at, in a shed. Bit vague where they might be. Said something about 35 on Grill ????
They may want an ' arm and a leg ' for them though.
I remember reading a post about these on this forum, maybe.
Could anyone please shed some light on this model.
What motor ? LWB/SWB possible year. Pics.
Thanks. Look forward to replies.

From memory, the plus 35 was a late Series 2a publicity badge, allegedly with stronger axles, although as far as I know it did not match any changes listed in the parts books. It seems to have been unique to Australia, probably defensive publicity as Toyota started to cut into the market. Possibly it was actually just better QC of an upstream axle supplier.
