I am in need of a new set of tyres for my series 3. I am not finding many radial tyre choices as yet.

Has anyone purchased 750 16 tyres lately ? what tyres did you buy ?

I got some Dunlop Road grippers that had come off a new 70 series Landcruiser in January 2017.
Now the cruisers come with different size tyres and they are much harder to find.

    Dunlop

Ditto the second post - five unused Road Grippers sourced from a new Land Cruiser a couple of years ago. Cost about $130 per tyre plus fitting.

Used to be a lot around but apparently now a bit harder to come by.

As above, I have Dunlop Road Grippers on 3 Land Rovers.
Checkout Gumtree they occasionally come up in 7.50 X 16 but as already mentioned the Troopy is coming in with different tyres now.

Last year I picked up 10 new ones from a tyre company that was removing them c/w wheels from government vehicles. Thought I'd be able to easily sell the troopy split rims but the market is saturated.........

Might pay to call a few TOYOTA dealerships as well and see if they have any left over

They tend to charge top dollar, private sale is often much cheaper. Quite a few sets come up where someone removed them years ago when they got their vehicle & fitted wider wheels & tyres, they get rid of the vehicle and still have a set of new (but old) rims & tyres in the shed.

Also try the nearest tyre joints to the Toyota dealer, someone buys and drives to the nearest tyre place to get the big fat wheels & tyres fitted.

4 on Gumtree https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/nort...new/1166708674 unfortunately they are in Canberra.

Try advertising them up this way on the "Buy Swap n Sell" pages Colin, as they are very popular for wine bin trailers.

About 18 months ago a local dealer was selling Michelin 750 x 16 tyres at a discounted price, so I put up
the offer here on AULRO. Quiet a few took up the offer. The end result was about 35 tyres or more being
purchased and sent off on pallets to various locations.
    They were good value.

    Cheers, Mick.
