Will you be able to hear it over the noise from the diffs, the gearbox, the engine and general road noise ........?

    Don't worry Colin.
    I can lip read.

And Deaf, so wont hear the diffs, gearbox, engine and general road noise.
Just plug my hearing aid into AUX socket.

Nice one !!, but for my 2A I was thinking of a double DIN unit with reverse camera and GPS. It might seem a bit high tech for a vehicle that's almost 50 years old, but you can hardly see out the back of a Canvas top 109, so it's more a safety thing.

    Cheers.

    Hi John.
Just wanted something small and simple, with built in speakers. Bit like me and my S3 really.
'Double Din', it that reference to the noise that 'may' come from Gilbert !!!!
Being an 88, I don't have to look so far back, as your 109.
I had an extra, roll up, rear flap add to my canvas. So the window can be covered to protect the plastic.

In my County-Isuzu the radio-cd player is superfluous at speeds above 80 k's. Can't be heard over vehicle noise.

I cut the wires to my AM tape player. I wear noise cancelling Bluetooth headphones for long trips.

For shorter trips I don't bother.

It's an Isuzu 3.9 litre engine not a ****ant Rover engine. It tops out at 130 k's @2600 in o/d. The pump has been tickled a little.
