I've just used straight enamel on my engine in my IIA (and in a few other vehicles, come to think of it) and it's held up to the heat fine. Rod mentioned Protec paint.... I seem to remember that's what my IIA has on the engine now. I gave the paint shop the code for Duck Egg Blue and we were off...
