Water temperature sensor(s) on 2.25 L petrol engine

    Hi All,

I was looking around at the wiring going to the engine on the weekend, and I noticed that I seem to have two sensor connections near the water pump that I can only assume are both for water temperature. I haven't traced the wires back to the dashboard yet but I only have one temp gauge, so I thought I would throw it our to the forum for any insight into these two sensors, see the pics attached.

    Thanks

I think the one in the Righthand picture is for cold start switch/light

Paul is correct. The sender unit next to the spark plug is for the gauge. The one on the other side with 3 bolts holding it in is for the cold start light connected to the choke cable and the yellow light on ur dash.
