Defender stuck injector
A friend has a 2.4 Defender 110 which has been retrieved this week and has a holed #3 piston apparently resulting from a stuck open injector.
He has opted to replace the long block, injectors, turbo etc.
He is being told that this is a fairly common problem and that these engines injectors should be changed every 150k km at about $2k per set.
Has anyone else heard this?
