    Land Rover Series bitza

Wonder if the axles have been upgraded lol. Lots of work for sure, but with so much mods is it a land rover anymore?

The salisbury rear axle will withstand the engine, and with part time four wheel drive the front axle probably will as well provided it is not driven too enthusiastically.

The diff ratios have presumably been changed to 3.6 with this engine. The only real non-Landrover major bit is the gearbox; otherwise it is similar to a Stage 1 with the Isuzu, and disc brakes added. Although the power steering and turbo are probably not the same as the Perentie 6x6, and there are likely to be a lot of non-Landrover details.

But basically, it is what the thread title says - a Landrover bitza, and from the description, probably quite desirable, although likely to cause problems with the engineering here (close set lights on a Series 3!).

Really is no more a Bitza than 50% of series still on the road.

You could ask "is a Puma Defender a Landrover? , Its got a Ford Engine & gearbox"

Im not a huge fan of the Isuzu truck engine but IMO its more a LandRover than any of the rubbish direct from the factory nowadays.

Indeed, pod filters are the worst single thing you can do to any Internal Combustion Engine , ... Well I suppose the cylinders will never glaze up !!
