Morning,
Rebuilding the young blokes OD now, did mine a couple of years back. The O ring is a standard imperial fit, can't remember the size right now but i can check tonight. Bought a whole box of O rings from Aldi ages ago and one fits perfectly.
I think the scuff paste is the Hi heat lubricant that goes between the main shaft of the overdrive, the coupling sleeve and the end of the main shaft on the gearbox. The box i am rebuilding right now was short on this lubricant, i think it had just dried out over the ages, and as a result the teeth on the mainshaft and coupling sleeve had worn away to thin razors. So essential to use it.
The main shaft bush should go inside the end of the Overdrive main shaft, then onto the end of the gearbox main shaft. It can be a tight fit or not fit at all. With mine it pressed into the OD mainsheet not worries but i had to sand it down internally a thou or two to get it to fit onto the gearbox. With the young blokes there is no bush, the shaft is a poor fit onto the gearbox without it but too tight to take a bush, very strange. anyway I'm not loosing sleep over it as its ink anyway.
Biggest issue is getting new shims. I have used precision shims.com.au. also just bought one of these, which I think was a good price, as for quality we will wait and see, got to be better than the mortar bomb tail fin arrangement i welded up last time around!
