Their photographs showed how it looked like this section had more rust than anything else. This fascia/skin was removed and replaced with new metal. Some other repairs to the door frame, underneath the fascia were also carried out.
I carried out a "Search" on AULRO and I could not find it.
Does the description of the window repairs - not using prefabricated bought parts sound familiar to anyone?
I have also checked YouTube and most clips are about having to modify replacement door tops from different manufacturers and having to make them fit.

Lionel,
Doortops are considered a 'consumable'. Not really worth the effort of repairing considering the cost of new ones.
Door Top, alloy clad, unglazed LH - Series 3 - Paddock Spares
If you put together a reasonable sized order the freight cost isn't too bad.
When you get new ones either get galvanised ones or paint the inside of the hollow sections (details in my thread on Wallit).
