    Steering Relay Shaft.

This came up on the UK S2 Forum,

As for the sleeve and seal, I can definitely give some guidance (previous engineering work for Timken).
The sleeve is 99112, and that is an industry standard number, I got one from SKF and one from Chicago Rawhide (CR) both under that number. It is for a nominal 1.125" shaft diameter. I drove it in using a piece of 1.25"OD x.063" wall tubing I had lying around after putting a wrap of masking tape on the sleeve surface to protect it.

The seal was a Timken/National seal, 1037. That is a brand specific number, but it will cross reference with any decent supplier. It is for a 1.5" bore, 1.125" shaft, .25" width. Single lip nitrile seal w/spring.
