Universal Joint Cup Spinning in Yoke

I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but looking for confirmation. Do I need to find another stub axle to use? I'm guessing the one I've started to use is no good and cannot be used.

I'm using a GKN replacement joint. I recall one of the cups which I removed being super loose, so I'm quite confident it's not the new replacement needle roller bearing.

    Cheers,
    Martin

    Yes.
I suppose you could pein the housing and cap to delay replacement. I noted recently on Hoovie and other sites that most new cars now have the caps peined into the yoke with no spring clip so you have to replace the driveshaft if a UJ fails.

Phillip is correct, but particularly since the joint operates in an oil bath, it is unlikely to ever give any issues.
