Has anyone used a Tridon TTS027 or TTS029 in their landy?
The thread seems correct for the job.

Thanks Both,
Yes the sender is correct for the adapter not the water gallery in the head ie 5/8 unf.
The correct part number seems to be comparable to the Tridon price so maybe not much gained unless time is the essence and you had to go to supa cheap or repco on the day.
Still keen to find out.
Next time I am at one of the parts stores i will see if they are on clearance.
Cheers
Pop into Repco and ask them.
Surprising how many Land Rover parts they have available.
Here in the Tweed many Land Rovers were used on the Banana Farms, many parts supplied by Repco.

G'day All,
The thread size in the cylinder head for the temperature sender is 3/8 BSP.
Chris
Careful, I think the head might have been 3/8" BSPP (not tapered, which seems to be the default if you ask for BSP). I installed an aftermarket gauge + adaptor in the head of my 1959 Series II (7:1 compression ratio), the parts catalogue lists it as having a plug rather than a sender. I ended up machining up an adaptor for the aftermarket gauge.
G'day All,
Yes the thread for the plug in the Cylinder head is 3/8 BSP Parallel and seals on a copper washer. So an adapter is needed to fit aftermarket temperature gauge senders which are usually NPT thread.
Interesting CNC thread dies from China use code "G" for Parallel and code "R" for taper.
