Fitting an Aeroparts capstan winch to a Series II

I'm back on the winch mounting project....

I still need to make a driveshaft, part of the drive plate and the operating mechanism but wondered if there are instructions for mounting.

Looks like I need to drill holes through the front crossmember and fit crush tubes. These were standard on some Series I chassis'.
I can work something out myself but wondered if anyone has found fitting instructions.

First I'll check I have the Series II mounting plate after reading this Aeroparts Winch Fitting

    PS: Kept looking and have found what I need ! https://www.google.com/url'sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&ua ct=8&ved=2ahUKEwjVpb634JaAAxUd3TgGHSO3AqQQFnoECEAQ AQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.roversclub.org%2Fdocs%2FCa pstan.pdf&usg=AOvVaw2YmTAftHfhRDYIIG4HxZBV&opi=899 78449

Looks like rivnuts in the front crossmember ?!
Not sure about the winch pulling on the bumper & rivnuts in the front crossmember though.

    That is good info.

Hint, fit new fan belt to engine before fitting drive shaft,or you may be taking it all off again sometime in the near future.

Don't know about the later models, but on the S1 it is not the easiest job to get that shaft assembly off.

I learnt the dictionary of swear words every time my Father had to do this.

We leave it permanently off now.

Thats the instructions used when I fitted a plate to my 80inch.
It may have been a later one as a little trimming was needed.
    Still some bits to source.
