    Sway Bars

    Hi All,

My 03 110 TD5 has never had sway bars. Is that correct for that year model or did the factory forget to put them on.

I also have a PUMA and would like to remove the sway bar's legally. Can this be an engineered modification in Victoria?

    Thanks!

The pre-Puma Defender 110's didn't have sway bars but the 90s and 130s did. I think.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

As did County trim 110s at the rear. I think it came with the Boge self levelling.

Does this mean non county trim 110s came without the rear sway bar? if so, it would be perfectly legal to remove them from counties as they were fitted as an option.

I think that is correct, although it would probably only be strictly legal if the Boge unit was removed and the stronger springs fitted. But since some 110s had them and some did not, it is extremely unlikely that anyone would ever spot the discrepancy, particularly where an older 110 is involved.

Hence why I removed mine last week along with the load leveler (85 County)
