My car was in the CBD at the time.
In an underground carpark ;-)
It's times like these you're happy you drive a D3, plenty of grip, unfazed by water. It wasn't just the water though, the amount of wet leaves didn't help traction either.

Just wondering how many insurance "replacements" for new D4's will result from last weekend's weather ??

We just got our D3 in Jan so first big storm driving, was on monash and then eastlink when storms hit. We were lucky and missed hail. Although had a lot of rain. D3 was a great car to be in when wet outside, up so high and not as much road spray.. Our other car is a mini so lucky we were in D3
Getting into work today, the damage that the hail has caused is enormous.
I have a friend who owns a paintless dent removal business, He has just hired a Warehouse in City Road Sth Melbourne for the next 6 months approx. just to deal with the hail damage. He is going to be very very busy.
Having a chat with him today he said he may even move in for a while just to try & start to get of the work ASAP.
The Panel Shop we use was inundated today with phone calls. He spent a fair amount of time quoting vehicles at our workshop in the yard.
Let the fun begin.....
