    New freelander 2 cv issue

Hey guys the issue is that I have a late 09 freelander 2 and for the past couple thosand kms I have notices the front wheels clicking when I pull into my driveway. The car has only done 8-9k kms and it is already having issues? Can someone with a high km freelander maybe give me some insight on how it has treated them? If this thing turns out like the freelander ones then I might start having regrets for buying it. I am just a little dissapointed with hearing this sound already when it is still basically a new car.

I've done over 50,000kms and mines a late 08 model. I hammer the crap out of mine and no problems with my cv's.

Just book it in with LR and they will fix her right up

I ve got the same problem with my 2010 Freelander. I m crazy with that ticking noise, which is present only when you are using the steering for cornring and applying the brakes at the same time. My dealer can do anything-I think they don t care! Did you manage to solve the problem? Please let me know. I have to solve it!

I had the same problem with my 2010. There is a thread about this either on Aulro or Freel2.com. It is to do with the wheel nut washers; apparently if the nuts are over tightened they start that clicking noise. Lance Dixon LR replaced wheel nuts and no noise..........yet (about 6,000 km). Check with your local dealer and see if thay are aware of this.

    Hi all,

Just thought I'd post the resolution to a similar issue I was having on my my10.

Was hearing the clicking noise while braking and turning left or right at slow speeds. Dealer went through many fixes even replacing the drive shafts and loctite on the splines but nothing fixed it.

Turns out it was coming from the sill panels touching, once they were adjusted all good. The service note referred to a SSM39853. Lyntons on the gold coast fixed it.

Hope this helps some else who may have a similar issue.
