you hoon! :-P
Had to laugh this morning, In my D3 TDV6 I pulled out of a side road onto a major 80kph road behind a Tricked out Honda Civic with coffee can sized exhuast and all the go fast stickers etc. The guy floored it when he got onto the main road and going by the sound it made he had it flat out. I calmly pulled out behind him moved across another lane and easily overtook him and got to 80kph about 100meters ahead of him. The look on his face when he got caned by a stock standard brick shaped diesel truck was priceless. I thought my street drag days were well and truly over, but I might take it up again.

Did the same last week to a 200 Series Landcruiser turbo deisel. The guy was really going for it too. It was 7.00am in the morning, no traffic, on the Mornington Peninsula. The guy seemed somewhat dissappointed. It was a good feeling as it was the Landscruiser that I first intended to buy.
BTW: I have the 3.0Lt motor. And no, I'm not a hoon, however sometimes you have to seize the moment. Keep on Discoing I say
wait till you see the look on their faces when you do that with a clapped out series.
theres a couple of sets of lights around here that have 2 lanes in and about 100-150m after the lights they merge to one and almost everytime everyone ques up in the right hand lane. Time the lights right and you can swing past at 40+ kph while they're stationary.
on a good day said ricer will give it a full load of bickies at the next set of lights where road goes back to 2 lanes which is also where the cop speed trap is also usually located its worth doing the "hot lap" to come back round to admire the scene of boy ricer trying to explain to MR plod why he was doing 70 in a 50 zone.
