Dramatic footage has emerged of a lorry apparently pushing a car sideways along a motorway in Yorkshire.
The footage, which was posted on YouTube, shows the truck travelling along the A1(M) near Wetherby with the Clio trapped in front.
The scene was filmed on a mobile phone by another motorist.
West Yorkshire Police confirmed it had attended the scene. The lorry owner, Cheshire-based Arclid Transport, said it was investigating the incident.

False alarm, can now, wonder somebody wasn't killed!!!![]()
I saw a differant clip on TV.
Can be very hard to see a small car down there. My guess is the car and truck have hit during a lane change. The truck hiting the car on about the right side rear wheel with the left front corner of the truck. The road is wet, so the car would spin and slid very easly.
I'd say there is a good chance the truck driver couldn't see the car. Any truckies wish to comment?
I recall another case in the UK where a Merc got caught and pushed along by the front left corner of a truck when the Merc overtook. The driver couldn't see the car.

Yes...I'll give it a bash
The truck driver should be off the road. He must have known that he has hit someone. If you drove your vehicle everyday of the week you would know if something is not quite right. This driver was pushing an extra 1400kg down the road, car was sideways in front of the truck and creating all that resistance.
As the driver of the car wouldn't you have the horn going continuously?
And Jeez...that horn blast sounds close!
On a wet slick road?
What horn? I can't hear one in the clip.
