    Caprica

I'm curious if anyone is watching Caprica from the US?

(And yes, the thread title should read "Caprica")

If the speed of light = 299,792,458 m/s, what is the speed of dark?

Yep. Not a patch on Battlestar in my opinion but still an interesting concept. I'll keep watching to see where things go. I'm really only hooked on it because of the pre-BSG back story.

It is IMO brilliant. Similar - but definitely not the same - style to BSG, but much darker and, in some respects, more sinister. It can't really be compared to the BSG though and on it's own merits is excellent. We have found it totally engrossing and find the weekly 1 hour episodes just not enough. Having just watched the mid-season finale, have to wait a few weeks until the next episode. Grace and I will probably have a "Capricathon" before it starts again. (We actually watched all episodes of BSG from Series 1 to 3 in under a week just before Series 4 started)

I remember seeing the pilot and expecting it to be crap. I was blown away. I have started watching the first season now and I find it dense and slow in a way that is frustrating but at the same time keeps me interested. I have fallen behind now but a couple of friends have said that it is speeding up now...

    There is no Starbuck however...

Maybe it'll be like Stargate Universe... absolute crap if you view it with ads once a week, but watchable if you have a couple episodes at a time with no interruptions

Seems aimed at the Teen market where BSG got the old audience and a new audience.

I have been watching it but expected better things from the BSG team.

It's a great idea for a show, however I couldn't get past the horrendous casting.
