    The Shire

Apologies to the good guys living and working in Sutherland Shire, Sydney (used to live there myself- until they found out!)

Was there over Easter. Did not get one wave returned out of about 10 tries. I can't imagine that they were all driving borrowed vehicles! Keep trying everyone....they'll come around.

On the trip back overt he sandstone curtain I had a better hit rate, mostly from people who were obviously coming back in from a long weekend in the weeds.

I drove my D1 from Melbourne to Sydney and got a couple of waves from owners of older LR's. Haven't really had much of a chance to try the wave whilst in my D3. It seems to be more of a country highway holiday thing these days as well.

Seems those is their posh machines dont know to wave.

When your off to shoot grouse, resplendently decked out in wellies and tweed jacket, it is not ones position to wave to the gentry!

However......in the out and back of this fine country you get sick of waving to everyone.
I'm thinking when I pick up my new D3 next weekend, I just might have to find me one "o" those tweed coats. Should look mighty fine wallowing around the burbs.
