Q093 Patch for D4's

Spoke with my Landrover Dealer yesterday and asked him about the Q093 patch. It isnt fully available in Australia as yet, as they are waiting on some parts as part of the patch.
Apparently they did install some of the patches to my disco a few weeks back when they replaced my DVD player. I had no sound at all and after 2 days in at ULR that's what it turned out to be

There's a hold up on the batteries at the moment. It can be completed if your car doesn't need a battery though.

Oh OK. My dealer made out as if there were several parts required?

It's mainly software downloads. There might be another 'part' besides the battery but I'd have to double check.
Different VIN ranges have different repairs done too.

Hi all,

Carried out the Q093 on my vehicle yesterday.

Things to note..

The Global Open/Global Close function is now activated on the vehicles BCM(Body Control Module)..
(Global Open-Push & hold unlock button on remote & all 4 windows will drop)
(Gobal Close-push & hold the lock button & all 4 windows will close)

BUT

It doesnt turn ON automatially, you need to tell the BCM to turn on Global Open & Global Close functions.
BCM will show on the car config file(CCF) that it is "Enabled".
This does not tell it to work, It just enables the function in the BCM so you will need to go back into the CCF & turn it to "On" & the system will work.

When the Q093 is done you will have Global Open as it is part of the Australian spec of the vehicle.
But now that Global Close is allowed by ADR's for the D4 some people may overlook this.

A4's had this in '95 ( well , mine did ..... ) . Was it discontinued
over here for some issue ?

I had this update on Wednesday. i had issues with the car not starting and then i had to lock the car and unlock the car to start it. Also the rear windows was not going up the first attempt. And some suspension fault.

They said it was all related to this update.

For some reason & even when the P38 RR was released in 94' it was not allowed to be functional on the LR brand? I questioned this many times & was told that ADR's on these particular vehicles it is not allowed.
I also realise that many other brands BMW, Audi, Mercedes etc this was fine..??

Just picked up my D4 today. Global open works, but does not Global close. Do I need to get dealer to enable?

Firstly Congratulations
Just enquire if the Q093 has been done, it may not have been done, as some parts we are still awaiting.
BUT
if it has then it may be just getting into the CCF & turning it on & yes a dealer needs to do this.
