Can you fit a front middle seat to a Puma ?

Can you fit a front middle seat to a Puma ?

eg: take out the cubby box and replace it with a seat.


I have done this in my 2002 Defender and have a chance of getting a new Defender as a company car but it depnds on the 6th seat.


Any help here please would be appreciated

Structurally they are, I'm pretty certain, the same in that area as the 2002. So the problem is legality - you would need to talk to an engineer who can approve modifications.

Went through this in Vic.....

Can do if it is for a child under 34kgs, no engineer and legal. I did just that as the seats that were there were only for kids anyway.

If it were to acommodate an adult it throws up all forms of complications.

I spoke to Landrover, and in older 'Fenders they were a factory option so approved over here (again only for under 34kgs)

Yes but I was trying to get the 110 dual cab ute as a company vehicle )no FBT) and still beable to have a 6 seater

In QLD, any change to seating capacity, belts, mounts etc needs to be inspected by an approved officer and blue plated.

When I last did it the cost was <$100.

Are the fines worse for a company vehicle with non-approved modifications???
