Things about your defender that worry others, but you have a "logical answer"

Well after getting a few remarks about the interior of my defender I thought I'd start a thread. "Things about your defender that worry others, but you have a logical answer

    Mine:
1: Where is the Air-Con "I took it out so I don’t wake my knees on the dash"

2: There no door trims "I left them off for more room and they are now light weight racing doors ”

    3. Why does it blow lots of black smoke “No smoke no poke and it saves whales”

These responses are normally followed rolling eyes etc.

"How do I get in, there's no handle to hold onto?"
I'd better get one of these big round handles (steering wheel) for the passenger side then

My smug, fat, nosy, do-gooder reverend neighbour
    "Why would you drive that?"
Because people like you drive those

"What are you going to do with your other one"
    Drive it.

    friend who drives a yaris:
"Aren't you worried about killing infants by running over them?"
have you seen the ground clearance?

Get wet or put on a rain jacket

What do you do when its cold

do you really put Alex in that baby seat in that thing?
No he fits nicely between the bull bar and the radiator.

    I really like this one

Reminds me of years ago just after I bought the Defender and a bloke asked why I had it.
I said it suited my style best and he replied something like ...
"aah, a man who truly has style unlike all those other poseur wanabes..."

    Now that fella had class

Isn't it just like the "Baby on bored" (sic) window signs!

Yeah - like I was going to drive over your car until I spied the warning sign!

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

All I ever get is "Is it still running?"

Did have a door man look at it once and say
    "Now that's a real 4wd!"
That was just after I squeezed it past a rolls, DB9 and the support pillar of the hotel.
Merc driver near the exit point quickly came out and moved his car after seeing my pull up.

What? Yours doesn't have the assist handle at the LH end of the dash?
