VW Golf Help??
Hi Hoping some one out there has a Golf Turbo Diesel 1.9l and can help me?
Problem: It's out of warrenty and I want to service it, not too difficult to do, oil filters etc. I need to know if there is a way to reset the service now due warning that comes up whenever we start her up??
Hopefully I do not need a computer to do this??

Have you had a look in the owners manual for instructions?
On our Fairlane I turn on the ignition and then press and hold the trip meter reset for about 15 seconds.

Quick google:
"Put the key in the OFF position. Push and hold the tripmeter button (the one on the right by the speedometer). While holding the button, turn the key to the ON position, but don't start the car. The display will say "service" (stock) or "SERVICE NOW" (MFI) depending on your cluster. Release the tripmeter button. Then turn the clock button (on the left by the tach) to the right one click. This will reset whatever service interval has been displayed, and your display will then go back to normal. Switch off the ignition."

Feel a bit stupid, It tells me how to do it in the owners manual, just looked. So if anyone else out there wants to reset the service due warning have a look there first

It took me ages to find it in our service manual... for the mechanic.
