    Border Raiders Strike Again

    Debrief:

The elite group of Border Raiders successfully completed their covert mission, to recover one of their own who had fallen.

The call went out to El-Presidente, that a secret leaf-sprung trip was in order, to sneak under the watchfull eyes of the scouts in the hills, and recover a fallen vehicle, from a POW (Previously Over Worked) Camp in the Northern Rivers of NSW.

Colonel Coleman commanded the platoon, consisting of battle weary veterens, the Ho Hars and Zulu Delta's, a forward scout who was familiar with the area, Lost Landy and Bree, and a green newbie, TimJ.

The drop point was the Shell at Mudgereba, from where we made our way South then inland, under the noses of the guard posts and Ivory Tower on the mountain. We entered our objective point, where the captives were delighted to see us. Unfortuanately, time has ravaged most of these poor bodies, and not all will be able to be saved. We had the honour of a past captive being able to return in full health, to help liberate some of her fallen comrades.

The troops set about the wounded to see what could be done, and little more than removing personal effects and collecting dog tags could be salvaged. In light of the eminant death of some, they agreed to donate some of their organs and limbs, so that others may live a more productive life. We did manage to remove one in a body bag, who has alot of donations to make for the good of series kind.

To keep things covert, we diversified our extraction points, to confuse and keep the enemy guessing.

Once clearance has been given, the recon photo's should be made available.

    Colonel Coleman

The Mossie Helicopters were spraying this morning, and I got flashbacks

Those that where there will know. It might help explain this though.

Like any elite squad, Paratroopers, SAS, you can nominate yourself, but must undergo a complex selction process, intensive training and show undoubting commitment to the cause, by being ready to lay down your life.

You need to take a "leaf" out of my book, and put a bit of "spring" in your step.

Or just find a rusty piece of crap, and have to scout around to find bits to fix it

Daisy was briefed on this mission earlier by the OC of Sweet Peas unit with explicit instructions to check out some viable replacements for some of Sweet Peas current shortcomings, and although the mission was deemed to be a successful one, some 'on the spot' 'split second' decisions had to be made. The actual parts that were hopefully to be sourced turned out to be the wrong "blood type" so they were left but some other 'optical' parts were taken in lieu of.

The exchange rate over the border is rather satisfactory at the moment too, I must add.

At this point, the main raiding party had headed off via the fastest route whilst the diversionary force headed home over the range, calling in at a popular tourist spot en route, then carried on via Mt Tamborine (Daisy doesn't really like Henry Roberts Drive I might add) then down the hill and home to unload the stash.

A pleasant luncheon stop was made en route at a grassy roadside stop then each made their own way home. A very pleasant and successful day was had, I am sure, by all concerned, both Raiders and also equally as much by the Raidees.
