Problems - main one is the salisbury diff. The longer nose makes for a very short prop shaft in the 88, likely to cause problems with U-joints, although some have managed to get away with it. Add a suspension lift, and you have real problems with U-joint angles. Because the Salisbury (and all 109s)  has the springs more widely spaced, you have to move the mounts on either the chassis or the axle. Both are possible, but just more things to do.
If raising the suspension as on the army vehicle, you have to fit the front chassis suspension point front and rear to the swb chassis. You would also have to cut away the gearbox crossmember as on the army chassis. All these changes would need to be engineered, as the raised suspension was not an option on the swb.
One change that IS worthwhile is to fit the lwb brakes to the swb. You would have to fit a lwb master cylinder, and it is probably worth fitting the dual circuit one, which will require some plumbing changes. Again, engineering probably required.
