Driveline Clonk/Snatch in my PUMA - Gone :)

I have a "new improved" 2007 PUMA on my driveway this morning, one without driveline clonks

Am VERY happy about that as the noise when changing gears etc was quite noticable unless you gently eased the clutch in and out, especially if Mrs Spud was driving (she's none too delicate with a clutch).

LR replaced my original rear diff (under warranty), and it has made the world of difference. Now, even with rough clutch work it doesn't snatch or clonk. I am a Happy Boy.

    Cheers
    David

Great to hear mate - I suspect mine will be the same fix, although will be having them check out the transfer case, clutch and handbrake as well.

Well I told someone else about this and they were very sceptical about a new diff being able to cure driveline clonks.

Land Rover also did the recall on the handbrake seal at the same time, so perhaps it is something 'further up the line' that had changed when they put in the new seal.

Anyway - I'll be seeing how it holds up after a few hundred KMs.

If it goes back to clunking again, then it's going straight back as my 3 year warranty runs out in September
